目光经过的世界 摄影展

身和心在世界游走，目光凝视着世界，摄影凝结了那一刻的观看。从凝视到凝结，是将客观世界转化成另一个在视觉观看上与之近似的媒介材料，这个可欣赏、收藏、搬移的媒介材料的获得，不是摄影家心底最终的意义，而是摄影家在某一时刻面对世界时的自我视点和看法所形成的个体体验。借由这个被凝固在底片上的影像世界所形成的个体体验的呈现，才是摄影的最终目的。

面对世界本身和世界的影像是不同的观看体验，影像一旦从客观现实中剥离出来，这个影像作为独立的文本就倾注了摄影家的思考在其中，无论我们抱着怎样的预期和动机，当我们观看这些来自于现实和摄影家的视觉文本时，观者的目光和摄影者的目光即有重合又有错位，双重目光在时空上有着明显的错层和延滞，在世界本体和其影像内容上又有某些的重合。影像记录了目光经过的世界，并以影像本体的意义和形态与观者的个人的思想和经验纠缠在一起，从而得到不同的、多样的读解。

在这里四位摄影家将他们几年游走在各地的影像做一次集中的展现，就我个人的体验，这些影像是四位摄影家和各种现实遭遇的印证，影像表现了一些事物的存在，也流露出一种无奈，一切只是在不可逆的时间长河中存在过而已，影像不是客观存在的见证，也天生不承担真实与否的承诺。在这里我更加关注摄影家目光经过这个世界时流露出的个体经验的表达，这些个体经验源于行为意义上的经过，更是个体精神意义上的经过，为当时的精神意义留痕可能是摄影这个行为的一个价值所在。在这个世界上经过是我们每一个人的共同行为，为自己的精神经过留痕别有意义。

生命的过程就是一次次对世界的观看，影像是观看之后留下的精神痕迹，这些痕迹中有我们心里共同的或不同的经验和记忆。

Roaming about, man catches sight of the world in moments of gazing. Photography crystalizes such moments to objects familiar to sight. However admirable, collectible and portable, they are not the ends, but rather the acts of seeing the world from the individual perspective of the photographer. Fixating them in films and presenting them as personal experiences, that is the purpose of photography.

The world in pictures differs from the world as directly seen. Images, once separated from the reality, are imbued with the photographer’s mind. Regardless of expectations and motives, when viewing the pictures of the reality taken by the photographer, the viewer’s sight and the photographer’s sight converge and diverge at the same moment. They diverge in time and space and converge on the world and the images. Capturing the world, images, in their own right ontic, join the personal thinking and experiences of the viewer and give rise to diverse interpretations.

Here four photographers exhibit once for all the images from their wandering around over the past years. To me personally, they mark various encounters with the real: things are what they cannot help being – current and passing in time irreversible. Images don’t commit to objectivity or reality. I am here to be hit by the expressions from the individual photographers. They are expressions of passing-by, personal and spiritual. As keepers of passing-by, photos inspire meaning. Every one of us passes by this world, each one of us may want to impart something meaningful.

Life may as well consist of viewing the world from time to time, of which images keep spiritual marks, be it common or unique.
